Welcome to the Sacraments of the Catholic Church

Baptism

Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.

Eucharist

The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God.

Confirmation

Through Confirmation, our baptismal vows are strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is a sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts.

Confession

This sacrament of healing offers us a new start for those who seek to reconcile with God and the Church.

Matrimony (Marriage)

Marriage is a covenant by which a man and a woman establish a partnership for the whole of life. It is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring.

Holy Orders

Through ordination, individuals can minister in the Church as bishops, priests, or deacons. It is a sacrament of apostolic ministry in which the mission given by Christ to his apostles continues in the Church.

Anointing of the Sick

This sacrament conveys God's grace through the Holy Spirit to those who are ill and suffering, offering comfort, peace, courage, and, if God wills, the restoration of health.

The sacraments are at the heart of our Catholic faith, serving as the visible signs of God's invisible grace. Instituted by Christ, the sacraments are special occasions for experiencing God's saving presence. To be baptized, confirmed, to receive the Eucharist, to confess our sins, to be anointed, to marry, or to be ordained - each of these moments is a unique and profound encounter with Christ, guiding us on our journey of faith.
