Sacrament of Baptism

Welcome to the Sacrament of Baptism

Baptism marks the beginning of our faith and our journey with God. It is the first of the seven sacraments and signals the start of a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. In this sacred rite, we are freed from sin, reborn as children of God, and welcomed into the Catholic Church. It is a time of joy and celebration, not only for the person being baptized, but also for the entire faith community, as we welcome a new member into our midst.

The Meaning of Baptism

Baptism is much more than a mere formality. It is a profound mystery of grace, a deep immersion in the waters of death so that we may emerge renewed in Christ. Through baptism, we are:

Purified of original sin and all personal sins. Initiated into the life of Christ and the Church. Anointed as priests, prophets, and kings in our own right, called to participate in Jesus’ mission. Marked with an indelible spiritual sign, signifying that we belong to Christ.

Baptisms are made by appointment & scheduled only on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 10:30am Mass.

There are no Baptisms during the season of Lent.
